Silicon Valley Growth Syndicate Announces Investment in BuzzStarter



San Francisco, CA:  The Silicon Valley Growth Syndicate (SVG), a limited partnership fund investing in early stage, tech enabled companies with revenue, announces an investment in BuzzStarter, a company that provides a platform for incentivized consumer sharing of content for brands. (


Buzz Starter founders Ken Zi Wang, Alexi Nedeltchev, and Alex Gold generated more than $500k in revenue within five months of launching. Mr. Russell Lewis, Co-Founder of the Silicon Valley Growth Syndicate initially hired BuzzStarter to do work for his company, Rhino Linings. ( Mr. Lewis was pleased with the results. This led to an initial investment by SVG and a follow-on investment.


“It is not unusual for one of the owners of SVG to employ a company when we are considering making an investment,” said Co-Founder Lee McNutt. “It is a way for us to do thorough due diligence before we put forward our money and the money of our investors.”

BuzzStarter focuses on key specific area of a clients online presence, using multi-channels, and new channels, that in some cases, the clients have not heard of before.


Current clients/brands include: Dove, Axe, Degree, Kroger, IDG, Lionsgate, Unruly Media, Visa, CBS Television, Sears, and Microsoft.


Mr. Ken Zi Wang, a co-founder and CEO, is a Columbia graduate. He leads BuzzStarter’s strategy, product, and operations teams. A serial entrepreneur with successful exit in the E-commerce space, Mr. Wang is an expert in online distribution. He founded the first Growth Hackathon – Growthathon, and runs the first growth tactic site called Growth Help. Mr. Nedelchev, a Co-Founder and CTO, leads Buzzstarter’s development and QA team. A serial-entrepreneur who formerly led a team of 10 developers, Mr. Nedeltchev is the Co-founder of Fantoon labs, a highly selective development lab based in Palo Alto that focuses on developing software in the visualization space.
